He was adopted from us as a kitten and came back to the death of his owner. Smoky will give you a run for your money - he WILL climb up you, leap up onto your shoulder or top of your head and he does use his claws so be warned. He is playful and incredibly loving but wants to be ON you. Saying no to small children as we can see a mom freaking if he were to land on the top of her toddler's head. Oh and he loves to talk too! ADOPTION FEES: Cats & Kittens under one year old are $50.00 but cats over a year old are 'name your adoption fee.' All cat adoptions include......mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your kitty home with you; basic kitty immunizations (FVR-CP+Calici); de-worming; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, etc. The first step is to our Adoption Application here: https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html . For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and 250929 Alpha was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, 250929 Alpha’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the 250929 Alpha’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, 250929 Alpha’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
