NEWBIE ALERT! Betty is a gentle, older girl who was found wandering the streets—starving, flea-infested, and in need of some serious TLC. Since being rescued, she’s been bathed, well-fed, and given the love she deserves. She’s now resting comfortably in a foster home and learning what it feels like to be safe and cared for. Betty loves the indoors and is happiest curled up on a soft couch or dog bed, quietly enjoying the calm. She’s currently being fostered with two larger dogs. While she coexists well with them, she can be a bit cautious around big dogs and prefers slow, respectful introductions. She’s also working on potty training and is making great progress with a consistent routine and positive reinforcement. Betty would do best in a calm, patient home where she can continue to feel secure and loved. She will complete her vetting Friday and will then be adoption ready! Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sweetie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sweetie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sweetie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sweetie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
