NEWBIE ALERT! Meet Oliver, affectionately known as Ollie! Ollie joined our family as a rescue from Wags and Whiskers in late October, hailing from Orange Beach, AL. He is a delightful mix, predominantly a Black Mouth Cur with possibly some Labrador in his lineage, though we haven't done DNA testing to confirm. Born on July 29th, Ollie is approaching 8 months old and currently weighs about 58 pounds. Ollie is a bundle of joy and energy. He's quick to learn commands, especially with positive reinforcement and treats. He's fully potty trained and spends the night quietly in his crate, without any barking or whining. His vaccinations are up to date, covering heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. Though we've grown to love and cherish Ollie immensely, our demanding work schedules mean we're often away from home for long stretches—up to 11 hours a day, six days a week. As a lively and energetic pup, Ollie adores playtime, exploring, and cuddling. He's a true snuggler at heart! We currently reside in an apartment, and we believe he would thrive with more space to run and roam freely. Ollie gets along well with children and is protective when meeting new friends. We're seeking a loving home that can provide Ollie with the time, love, and care he deserves. If you're ready to welcome a friendly, playful, and affectionate companion like Ollie into your life, he could be the perfect fit for your family! Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Oliver aka Ollie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Oliver aka Ollie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Oliver aka Ollie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Oliver aka Ollie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
