About this Dog
UPDATE!!✨ Meet Spanky! This sweet boy was dumped and sadly hit by a car before the shelter was able to pick him up. He’s was transferred to our care and has been on medical hold for the last6 weeks. Sadly, he had a broken pelvis. He was on strict crate rest while he healed in his foster home. He’s done wonderful with recovery and is basically back to normal now. He’s an adorable Schnazuer mix. He’s around 2 years old and 20 lbs. He is a sweet boy despite all he’s been through and will make a wonderful companion. He likely will always have a small limp but it doesn’t slow this boy down. He does have some seasonal allergies but does well with Benadryl when his eyes flare up. He’s great with other dogs and is super loving. He is utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and neutered. Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals. All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Adopt Spanky and Receive Spanky's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Spanky's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Spanky's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Spanky, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Spanky's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Spanky was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Spanky’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Spanky’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Spanky’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
