About this Cat
Hello I my child’s father purchased my daughter a cat about 3 years ago. He never liked cats and moved and left the cat so I go to get him and have had him ever since. I am now battling an addiction to alcohol and can’t keep a home that is stable. My youngest daughter also has a kitten we adopted not long ago named pudding. She has moved in with her father and step mother with the two cats. Unfortunately the step mother says miso is mean and doesn’t want to keep him but will try because my daughter is so attached to him. She bought the kitties each a bed and set up my daughter’s room while I seek help and get stable again. So the step mother recently text me if I found him a home yet and I cannot find him anywhere to go or anyone I would trust online. I watch your videos all the time and would like miso to live with you if at all possible so at least we can visit and know he is cared for well. My name is Pam and this is difficult for me as miso saw me as his mama and doesn’t trust anyone. I pray you can help. Thank you. I’ll send a picture attached in his new bed. He is a bit grumpy but also lovable. Miso is the older dark colored cat. Step mom doesn’t mind keeping the kitten cause she is sweet but says miso isn’t nice and doesn’t want to keep him. How will Miso receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Miso, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Miso's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Miso was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Miso’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Miso’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Miso’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
