About this Dog
Shadow is a sweet heart of a puppy that at weeks of age 18 weeks , weighs 32 pounds. Since we really don't know Shadows breed, we just affectionately call him an Alabama road dog. He looks like he could have some Catahoula and some other breed mix. He just loves to be with his people and snuggled up with them if he isn't playing with his other foster brothers and sisters. He seems fine with cats since we have one that gets in the yard with him and he doesn't seem to mind him. He is use to watching the ducks that waddle past his home to get to the creek and is more curious than anything. He has also had exposure to other farm animals. He loves to play in the water as you can see in the video, or run and romp and play in the yard. Shadow is an active little guy and would do best with an active person or family. If you like going hiking, swimming, running or even boating then Shadow would be the ideal dog for you!! He sleeps well in a crate at night and he will let you know when he needs out to take care of business. He loves his squeaky toys and stuffed toys and can keep himself entertained for a long period of time. He likes to lay at my feet when I am working at my desk. Shadow is fully vetted, Up to date on his vaccines and monthly preventatives and neutered. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Shadow's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Shadow was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Shadow’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Shadow’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Shadow’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
