About this Cat
Ophelia is located in Alexandria VA Ophelia came into the rescue with her baby kitten Caris when she herself was practically still a baby! Mom is estimated 3 years old now and is a very petite and beautiful little girl. She is a front polydactyl with toes for days - she looks like she's wearing mittens! She came into the rescue very timid and skittish, but every day with her foster family she flourished into a girl with confidence. It started with her foster family being able to pet her while she ate, to her actively seeking out affection. She struts around her foster home with big cat energy, despite being the smallest cat in the house. She's hilarious and will often look like she's chasing nothing, until you realize that she's following a dust ball or small movements in the air. She's also been caught chasing her tail a time or two. When you enter the room, she might chirp and approach you for pets, leading to her plopping at your feet. She's content to sit under her foster human's desk by her feet when she works from home. She's still hesitant about being picked up but we are working on it. She's an ideal kitty for someone who wants a low-key pet - not too clingy but still present in your life. She has no issues with other cats - in fact, we've seen her cuddling with the other cats in the home.

Adopt Ophelia and Receive Ophelia's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ophelia's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Ophelia's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Ophelia, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ophelia's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ophelia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ophelia’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ophelia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ophelia’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
