About this Dog
100 days and counting here at the shelter!Meet Chico, a high-energy lovebug with a heart as big as his personality! With his adorable patches and spots, not to mention his signature little stumble and high steppin', Chico turns heads and melts hearts wherever he goes. Heâs got a unique look (thanks to a dent in his head) and an even more unforgettable spirit. How has this boy been passed over for 100 plus days? Staff just don't understand! If you meet him, you will be sure to agree that he is a hidden gem!Chico is a lap dog at heartâhe may wobble when he walks, but heâs steady when it comes to love. He knows some basic commands and is eager to please, especially if a snuggle session or piece of cheese is the reward. While he canât do stairs and has some mobility challenges, he makes up for it with zoomies, tail wags, and constant affection.Because of his enthusiastic nature and a tendency to get a little anxious, Chico would do best in a home without small childrenâhe wouldn't mean to, but he might accidentally knock them over. Heâs looking for a patient, loving home where he can be your quirky, loyal sidekick. Chico does have some medical needs, so please give us a call to learn more about how to support this special pup. Heâs ready to wiggle his way into your heart! Please call the East Shelter so start the adoption process 416-338-7539.

100% of CHICO's balance will be sent to whoever adopts CHICO.
Adopt CHICO and Receive CHICO's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, CHICO's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is CHICO's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the CHICO, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming CHICO's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and CHICO was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, CHICO’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the CHICO’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, CHICO’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
