Verstappen est arrivée avec son frère Hamilton au Réseau Secours Animal le 10 mai 2025. Au début on croyait qu’il s’agissait de 2 garçons, de là les prénoms. Ils ont eu beaucoup de chance d’avoir été trouvés, recroquevillés l’un contre l’autre, dans un pot à fleurs, au parc de Maisonneuve. À son arrivée, la petite était craintive, mais elle a vite fait confiance aux humains. Elle a aussi connecté avec les autres chats de la maison. Verstappen est vraiment une crème de minette, une petite douce, elle se met à ronronner dès qu’on la flatte. Elle a aussi gardé ses réflexes de bébé car elle tète les couvertures douces avant la sieste. Elle se laisse prendre dans les bras, mais pas trop longtemps. Elle préfère venir vers nous, ce qu’elle fait souvent. Elle apprécie les endroits chauds et douillets et elle aime se coucher tout près de nous et tout près de son frère Hamilton. Verstappen aime tous les types de jouets. Elle va les chercher elle-même dans la boîte au salon. Elle aime aussi jouer avec tous les types de fils; il faut donc faire attention de les cacher. La petite est aussi très curieuse. Elle met son museau partout. Elle aime monter tout en haut de l’arbre à chats pour surveiller ce qu’il se passe en bas, ou pour faire une longue sieste. Verstappen est aussi très gourmande. Elle adore le Creamy. Elle accourt quand elle sait que c’est le moment de manger. Verstappen doit vivre avec un autre jeune minet et avec des humains qui aiment se laisser coller. Nous prioriserons une famille qui désire adopter Verstappen avec son frère Hamilton. Verstappen is a real sweetheart, a little darling who purrs as soon as you stroke her. She has also kept her baby reflexes, sucking on soft blankets before her nap. She lets us pick her up, but not for too long. She prefers to come to us, which she often does. She enjoys warm, cozy places and likes to lie down close to us and her brother Hamilton. Verstappen likes all kinds of toys. She fetches them herself from the box in the living room. She also likes to play with all kinds of wires, so we have to be careful to hide them. The little one is also very curious. She sticks her nose everywhere. She likes to climb to the top of the cat tree to watch what's going on below, or to take a long nap. Verstappen is also very greedy. She loves Creamy. She comes running when she knows it's time to eat. Verstappen needs to live with another young cat and with humans who would like to be cuddled. We would prioritize a family who wants to adopt Verstappen with her brother Hamilton. She could also live with children if they are old enough to understand how to interact gently with cats. Verstappen is a kitten therefore the adoption fees for her are $340. She is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. She is not tested negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) or for feline leukemia (FeLV) but her brother Hamilton is negative for both viruses. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Verstappen was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Verstappen’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Verstappen’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Verstappen’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
