Hamilton est arrivé avec sa sœur Verstappen au Réseau Secours Animal le 10 mai 2025. Ils ont eu beaucoup de chance d’avoir été trouvés, recroquevillés l’un contre l’autre, dans un pot à fleurs, au parc de Maisonneuve. À son arrivée, le petit était craintif, mais sa curiosité et son envie de jouer l’ont vite fait s’épanouir. Hamilton est très affectueux. Il veut toujours être près de nous. Il se met à ronronner dès qu’on le flatte. Il a aussi gardé ses réflexes de bébé car parfois il tète les couvertures douces. Hamilton se laisse prendre dans les bras, il aime tellement être près de nous. Il aime se coucher collé sur nous, souvent juste au-dessus de notre tête dans le lit. Hamilton aime bien jouer avec tout ce qu’il trouve. Il aime aussi jouer avec tous les types de fils; il faut donc faire attention de les cacher. Hamilton est aussi très gourmand. Il adore le Creamy et nous « chicane » si nous ne sommes pas assez vite pour lui en donner, une fois qu’il sait que ça s’en vient. Hamilton doit vivre avec un autre jeune minet et avec des humains qui aiment se laisser coller souvent. Nous prioriserons une famille qui veut adopter Harmilton avec sa soeur Verstappen. Il pourrait aussi vivre avec des enfants s'ils sont assez vieux pour bien comprendre comment interagir doucement avec les chats. Hamilton est un chaton donc les frais d'adoption pour lui sont de 340$. Il est stérilisé, vacciné et micropucé. When he arrived, the little one was fearful, but his curiosity and desire to play quickly made him blossom. Hamilton is very affectionate. He always wants to be close to us. He starts purring as soon as we pet him. He has also kept his baby reflexes, as he sometimes sucks on soft blankets. Hamilton lets us pick him up, he loves being close to us so much. He likes to lie close to us, often right above our heads in bed. Hamilton likes to play with everything he finds. He also likes to play with all kinds of wires, so we have to be careful to hide them. Hamilton is also very greedy. He loves Creamy and “argues” with us if we are not quick enough to give it to him once he knows it's coming. Hamilton needs to live with another young cat and with humans who like to cuddle often. We will give priority to a family that wants to adopt Hamilton with his sister Verstappen. He could also live with children if they are old enough to understand how to interact gently with cats. Hamilton is a kitten therefore the adoption fees for him are $340. He is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. He tested negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and for feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Hamilton was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Hamilton’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Hamilton’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Hamilton’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
