About this Dog
Name: Journey Breed: Newfoundlander Age: 4 year s old Gender: Female Weight: 105 lbs Good with cats: NO Good with dogs: Yes Good with Children: Yes Fenced Yard Required: Yes House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes, but not needed Location: London, Ontario Journey is elegance on four paws — a dignified, intelligent, and independent girl with a heart of gold. She’s the kind of dog who turns heads with her beauty and charms you with her poise. Journey crosses her paws when she lays down, sips water like royalty, and takes treats as gently as a whisper. Though she carries herself like a queen, Journey has recently discovered a new luxury — dog beds! She’s decided they suit her just fine, and now happily relaxes in cozy comfort when she’s not out on one of her adventures. She loves hikes, enjoys surveying her “kingdom” from the highest lookout point in the yard, and will happily join you for any outdoor fun. She's polite with other dogs and adores people, including children — but she has a strong prey drive, so no cats for this lady. Journey is sweet, smart, and just a little bit stubborn (in true Newfie fashion). She has excellent house manners, waits patiently for her meals, and prefers to come when called… eventually. Journey was previously bonded with her lifelong companion Gibbs. They can absolutely be adopted together for the right family, but she’s also doing well on her own and could happily settle into a new home — especially if there’s another dog to keep her company. Journey would love: ✔ A cat-free home ✔ Another friendly dog for companionship ✔ A comfy dog bed (or three) ✔ A family who enjoys outdoor adventures and calm indoor moments ✔ To be adopted with Gibbs — or solo, as long as another dog is in the home Her adoption fee is $650.00 ($1,200.00 if adopted together with Gibbs) which includes her vaccines, preventatives, microchip and spay. If you think you can give them a happy ever after home, please complete our online adoption application at this link https://www.animalert.ca/apply/dog-adoption Due to the high volume of emails, calls, and messages we receive, it is not possible to respond to every application. Rest assured, we review all applications, but we will only contact those whose applications match the needs of the dogs they are applying for. We appreciate your understanding. 100% of Journey's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Journey.
Adopt Journey and Receive Journey's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Journey's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Journey's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Journey, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Journey's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Journey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Journey’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Journey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Journey’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
