About this Dog
Name: Gibbs Breed: Newfoundlander Age: 4 year s old Gender: Male Weight: 110 lbs Good with cats: NO Good with dogs: Yes Good with Children: Yes Fenced Yard Required: Yes House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes, but not needed Location: London, Ontario Gibbs is a sweet, goofy, and loyal Newfie with a heart as big as his paws. Originally from Nova Scotia, he brings that friendly, down-to-earth vibe everywhere he goes. This lovable guy has recently discovered the joy of couch cuddles — and he’s fully embraced it! Don’t be surprised to find him sprawled beside you, snoring softly while keeping one paw on you like a big, fluffy security blanket. He’s fantastic with other dogs and absolutely adores children. But, like many big dogs, Gibbs doesn’t always know his size or strength. He’s still got a lot of energy and enthusiasm, so he’s best suited for homes with older or dog-savvy kids who won’t be overwhelmed by his excited zoomies or accidental hip-checks. Whether he’s out for a walk, stretched across your feet, or galloping to the sound of a crinkling treat bag, Gibbs brings heart, humour, and devotion to every moment. Gibbs must have another friendly, well-balanced dog in the home. He’s always had a canine companion and truly thrives with a dog buddy to play with, lean on, and learn from. Gibbs was previously bonded with his lifelong companion Journey — they can absolutely be adopted together for the right home, but are also doing well on separate paths. Gibbs would love: ✔ A home with another dog (required) ✔ A comfy couch to share ✔ Older or dog-savvy children ✔ A family that enjoys fun, snuggles, and Newfie-style loyalty ✔ To be adopted with Journey — or solo, as long as another dog is in the home His adoption fee is $650.00 ($1,200.00 if adopted together with Journey) which includes his vaccines, preventatives, microchip and neuter. If you think you can give them a happy ever after home, please complete our online adoption application at this link https://www.animalert.ca/apply/dog-adoption Due to the high volume of emails, calls, and messages we receive, it is not possible to respond to every application. Adopt Gibbs and Receive Gibbs's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Gibbs's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Gibbs's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Gibbs, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Gibbs's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gibbs was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gibbs’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Gibbs’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gibbs’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
