About this Dog
Hi, I'm Panini! Yes, like the sandwich—warm, comforting, and impossible not to love. I was born to a brave stray mama in early March. She did her best to protect all 11 of us by tucking us into a hole between some rocks. We grew fast (what can I say—we’re thriving!), and just in time, some kind humans came and rescued us. Now I’m living in a foster home with two kind kids, and I’m learning all about this cozy, loving life.Breed: Jindo mixAge: 3 MonthsGender: Female Weight: 19 lb (I'm still growing)Highlight(s): Good with other dogs, affectionate, cuddlyI’m a total lovebug! I adore humans and other dogs, and I’ll happily trot up to greet new friends—no matter their size. If another pup is a little grumpy, I know to give them space. I’m also living with a human kid right now, and I’m great with being petted, lifted, and cuddled. Belly rubs? Yes, please! I’ll even show my belly to strangers—I’m just that trusting.I’m still a puppy, so I’ve got lots of energy and curiosity. I love going on walks (though cars still make me a little nervous), and I’m learning how to walk nicely on a leash—sniffing everything along the way, of course. Fetch is my favorite game, and I’m always up for playtime with toys. I’m also in the “puppy biting” phase, but I’m learning what’s okay to chew and what’s not.I recently met a few cats and was very calm and gentle around them!I don’t have any aggression or resource guarding issues, and I get along great with both people and pups. I do have a bit of separation anxiety, though—I might cry, chew, or bark when I want attention. I’m working on it, I promise! I’m also not fully house-trained yet and sometimes do a little excited pee when I’m happy (which is often). But hey, I’m still growing, and I’ll get there.I’m looking for a forever family who will love me, guide me, and maybe even spoil me a little. If you’ve got room in your heart (and maybe your lap), I’d love to meet you! With tail wags and puppy kisses,PaniniI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: YesKids: YesEnergy level: High as I'm still in my puppyhoodMy adoption fee is $850.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
