Hi, I’m Madeleine! We were just tiny babies—around two months old—and sadly, our mama wasn’t with us. We waited and waited for someone to choose us, but no one came. After two long months, when time was almost up, a kind rescue saved us from euthanasia. Now I’m living in a foster home with my siblings, learning all about how wonderful life can be.I’m still a bit unsure around new people and situations, but I’m trying my best every day. When I start to trust you, I’ll let you pick me up and snuggle me. I’m still getting used to the outside world—cars, walks, and new places can feel overwhelming, and I often tuck my tail or freeze when I’m scared. My foster mom is gently helping me gain confidence, one little step at a time.Even though I’m a bit shy, I love playing with my doggy siblings. Other dogs make me feel happy and safe, and I’m very respectful and friendly with them. I even spent time with a few cats and didn’t bother them at all! I’m still in my puppy phase, so I’ve got lots of energy at home—I zoom, I play, I nap, and repeat.I’ve never shown any aggression or guarding behavior, and I don’t bark much at all. I’m also not an escape artist or particularly anxious when left alone. I do get a little nervous in the car, and I’m still working on house training and walking confidently on a leash. But hey, I’m a work in progress, and I’m learning more every day!If you have a calm, patient home (maybe with another friendly dog?), I think we could be a perfect match. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters.
