I am an intelligent and loving young dog who is a bit of a homebody.My current family loves me very much and wants the best for me, but they have a new situation and no longer can care for me. I originally came from Sri Lanka, so am all travelled out!I am a nice size and extremely cute, if I do say so myself, please note the white fur tips on my paws, tail, and head.Because I am young, I do have a decent amount of energy, but it doesn’t take too much to tire me out, however I will never say no to a forest hike or an adventure. Though excitable, as any young dog can be, I do calm down quickly.I have lived with a cat before but haven’t had much exposure to little kids so I would be best in a home without children. I can be a bit leash reactive to small, yappy dogs as I want to play and engage them.Not to brag, but I am a pretty smart cookie. I am generally great on a leash and I know a number of commands, including: sit, down, place, paw. I don’t bark too often, but sometimes there’s just things that need to be said.My ideal home would include a nice big yard, and perhaps another active dog friend (preferably a larger dog) to play with. I am happiest relaxing at home, and playing in the yard.I am happy, healthy and know I will be a fantastic addition to the right family!Energy level: moderate-highI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: YesKids: UnknownFears: none observed. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and JET (LOCAL) sf was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, JET (LOCAL) sf’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the JET (LOCAL) sf’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, JET (LOCAL) sf’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
