Hello, My name is Fandogh and here is info about me:Breed: German Shepherd mixAge: 7 months oldGender: femaleWeight: 12 kgs/26 lbs. Country of Origin: Middle EastHighlights: Gentle, calm, social, intelligent, well-manneredI am a calm and well-mannered dog, who looks forward to meeting many Canadians and impressing them with my kindness and gentleness. My rescuer overseas says that she was visiting a family member in the hospital when she noticed a tiny puppy lingering nearby. That was me! I was alone, scared, and suffering from a deep wound on my head. Despite the pain, my rescuer noticed my quiet strength and the look in my eyes that confirmed for her that I had hope despite my injuries. My rescuer brought me food every day and slowly, I began to show trust. I would wag my tail when I saw her, letting her know that she was a special part of my day.My rescuer then heard the news that the hospital staff had called the city to have me taken away. My rescuer knew what that meant and she immediately scooped me up and brought me to safety in a quiet, private setting where I could heal and feel safe and loved. You'll find I am quite the intelligent girl and social, as well.I am now seeking a forever home in Canada as, if I stay in my home country, I am at high risk of being killed, as dogs are not welcome in this society. I am gentle, resilient, and full of love!I am a gentle & calm girl, who walks easily on a leash. I will likely be playful, once I can trust the world around me enough so that my playfull self can be safely shownIf you have room in your heart for me, I am ready to give you all of my love!Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: rescuer states yes, but awaiting video proofKids: yesFears: Unknown/none observed. Please be prepared to help me learn where to go in my new home.Health notes: I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.
