Hello! My name is Skye. Here is some information about me:Breed: Blue Merle French BulldogAge: 3 years oldGender: FemaleWeight: 25 lbsHeight: TBDMeet Skye – A Blue-Eyed Beauty Ready for a New BeginningHi there, my name is Skye – I’m a 3 ½ year old Blue Merle French Bulldog with one sky-blue eye and one warm brown eye. People always say I’m striking, but to be honest, all I really want is to be seen for who I am on the inside — a sweet, quiet girl with a tender heart that’s just waiting for the right person to help it shine again. As I was just recently rescued, everything feels a bit overwhelming right now, and what I need most is a calm, patient home where I can finally settle in and feel safe.I haven’t had the easiest start in life. I’m AKC certified, and I’ve had one litter of puppies — but not much else is known about my past. What I can tell you is this: I’ve already had two different owners in my short life. My second family didn’t see me as part of theirs. When they had a baby and decided to move to a bigger house, the new place didn’t allow dogs… so instead of finding a way to keep me safe and loved, they simply arranged to hand me over.As I’m still learning to trust and find my footing, my foster mom says I would do best in a quieter environment. I dream of living with someone who is home most of the day—maybe you’re retired or work from home—so I won’t feel alone while I adjust. I’d feel most comfortable as either the only dog in the house or with one gentle, calm dog friend to help me build my confidence. If you already know about French Bulldogs, that would be wonderful! But what I really need is someone with a kind heart who can offer me understanding, reassurance, and the time to decompress at my own pace. My foster mom is moving slowly with me which I appreciate very much:https://youtube.com/shorts/3FMn0rY3S3o?feature=shareIf you can open your heart and home to help me feel secure and loved, please fill out a foster or adoption application using the link below. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be charged the passenger fee in addition to this.[MID EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.

Adopt SKYE (local) KY and Receive SKYE (local) KY's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, SKYE (local) KY's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is SKYE (local) KY's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the SKYE (local) KY, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming SKYE (local) KY's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and SKYE (local) KY was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, SKYE (local) KY’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the SKYE (local) KY’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, SKYE (local) KY’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
