About this Dog
This shy guy has been here for some time as we have worked on more observations of him outside the shelter while he was in a foster home. In the shelter this guy is very overwhelmed by the hussel and bussel and often can be seen pacing in his run, looking like a flight risk. He is a nervous guy but tends to keep to himself when he is overwhelmed. While in foster he was integrated in with other dogs in the home. Arf was found to be social with the other dogs, often playing in the hard, soft chasing back and forth and soft wrestling matches with his new buddies. He bonded to his foster parent very fast and would like couch cuddles if allowed, He also was great in a crate when his foster mom needed to leave home. He would wait patiently to get back out with his pals. He is nervous and insecure with new people, choosing to move away or avoid. We also observed that he needs a home with no cats or small animals as they are a bit too intriguing for him and he was becoming a little too focused on the cat. Arf would love another dog in the home, especially one that is confident so that he can feed off their confidence as he learns the ropes of urban life.
