About this Dog
Age: 2 years Sex: Spayed Female Estimated Breed: Chihuahua Mix Weight: 5 lbs Good with dogs?: Yes Good with cats?: Unknown, but likely good Good with children?: Unknown, but older kids preferred Special/Medical Needs: none Energy Level: Medium Adoption Fee: $650 Foster Home Location: Calgary, AB Daffodil, or Daffy as we affectionally call her, is a girl full of joy and happiness. She loves to snuggle and get all the pets. just lying beside her human or dog sister makes her happy. She jumps like a bunny you if you don't give her attention. She is smart and has the cutest little face. We love her so much and she returns that love tenfold. She has some of the typical Chi traitsher tiny body is actually the size of a lion in her mind and she is brave and fearless. She does not bark unnecessarily at all. She plays with her canine sister, who is 50 times her size, with abandon. Leash training is good but can improve, she tends to get a sidetracked and squirrel.oh yeah, we are walking. She loves playing outside and play chase with her sister. Often, she will be the instigator of playtime inside and out and just loves to play fight and sprint around. Even though we had very cold weather for this little one to adapt to, she went outside and still ran around to play. We do not know how she would be with cats or kids, but I believe she may be good. Proper introduction to all animals is always a must but we have not seen any prey drive. She is very petit though so with smaller children there is the chance she may nip if handled too roughly. She definitely would love and get along with another dog as she is so playful. She is always on the lookout for something to eat and has a very healthy appetite. She sleeps in a crate at night, snuggled in her soft blankets and she has no issue doing this. I have also left her in the crate for short periods of time with no barking or crying. She also comes to the office with me and has done well on the car rides as well as being good in my office. House training is good, she has used pee pads successfully and always goes when I take her outside. We are working on this daily as there has been a few minor accidents which as her guardian, is my fault. Whomever adopts this sweet girl will be so lucky!

Adopt Daffodil and Receive Daffodil's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Daffodil's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Daffodil's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Daffodil, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Daffodil's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Daffodil was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Daffodil’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Daffodil’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Daffodil’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
