About this Dog
ROMEO hails from CAT LAKE in Northern Ontario and he came south with his mum and 5 siblings to find his forever home. His mum is a Labrador Retriever/Gt Pyrenees mix and weighs 60lbs but his dad is unknown. The breed mix we have him listed as and the size he’ll grow to be is just a guess as we really have no way of knowing. He’s received his 3 sets of puppy vaccines including his rabies, a microchip and been deemed a healthy boy by his vet. His nick name is Chunk due to being the biggest in the litter. He’s a happy-go-lucky, confident, fun-loving, easy going guy who loves nothing better than giving out puppy kisses and cuddling with you on the couch. ROMEO is crate trained and sleeps quietly in it through the night and will also take his naps in there during the day. He’s 99% house trained and will let you know when he has to go outside for a bathroom break. He’s doing really well on his leash walks and enjoys going on them. He’s a well socialized, easy going puppy who loves to play with with all sorts of toys and play chase with the resident dogs in his foster home. He would love to be in a home with some fur siblings but he’d be equally as happy being an only child. He would also love to find an active family who will take him on walks, hikes and basically enjoy being outdoors with him. He doesn’t travel too well in a vehicle and it’s definitely not his favourite place to be. On a couple of occasions he’s had an upset tummy in it too. ROMEO’s being fostered with a trainer and he’s a lot of puppy training so is a well mannered boy who knows all the basic commands and then some. Lots of different size dogs come to visit the home and he’s got along well with all of them. He hasn’t met a cat but if the cat is dog savvy and with a monitored introduction they should get along okay. Children should be aged 6 and up and he does require a fenced-in yard. Puppies are fun and cute but also require a lot of work, patience and dedication to training. We need his potential adopter to be in agreement to sign him up for obedience/puppy training in order to adopt him. His neuter is included in his adoption fee and will be performed at the Barrie SPCA by no later than 9 months of age or he reaches 60lbs (whichever comes first.) We also need you to be in agreement with this in order to adopt him. If you would like to meet ROMEO then please submit the adoption application to do so.

Adopt ROMEO and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, ROMEO's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is ROMEO's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the ROMEO, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming ROMEO's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and ROMEO was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, ROMEO’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the ROMEO’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, ROMEO’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
