Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

If you need to re-home your Labrador, we can help you in the best possible way - because we really do understand. We know how hard it is to part with your dog. We're all Labrador owners, ourselves. In fact, some of us have adopted more than one. (indeed, some of us more than two!) So we know how you love your Labrador and how you will worry about what will happen to it. We choose the new home with enormous care. We have very strict rules and we check adopters in minute detail. For example your Labrador would never go to a home where it would ever be left for more than four hours, or a home without good exercise facilities.
We settle your dog into its new home straight away (or, if no suitable home is available, we place it with one of our fosterers until one is). We only use kennels in the most urgent emergency even though our kennels are magnificent. We want to maintain a flow of uninterrupted home life. We truly are experts who care and know and understand the Labrador. The Labrador Lifeline Trust is a registered charity, number 1076061 and was formed in 1996, to rescue and re-home Labradors whose owners can't keep them. We are a Kennel Club Approved Breed Rescue and are full members of the ADCH (Association of Dog & Cat Homes)
