Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

The Cornish Animal Rescue Centre is based in Hayle, with volunteers throughout Cornwall fundraising and home checking. The National Animal Welfare Trust receives no state aid and relies on the generosity of the general public to maintain its work.
The Centre provides a rescue and re-homing service for stray and abandoned dogs and cats across Cornwall, and has been designed to provide a stress free and welcoming environment for animals and humans alike. It provides 24 units of dog accommodation and 20 cat units, and will re-home over 300 animals every year. When developing the Centre we wanted to get the best possible balance between capital investment and low running costs, and also to demonstrate to our supporters (and the wider public) the importance of addressing environmental sustainability in our work as a way of maximising the value of the donations received and as part of our wider public benefit and responsibility as a charity.
