About this Cat
Hi, I'm Melody! My original Mom had me since I was about a month old. When I was a kitten, I was found in a church parking lot during a church service, which is how I got my name! I lived with my mom until she had to go into a nursing home, and I wasn't allowed to tag along. My entire life got turned upside down while people were moving things out of my mom's house. I was so scared, but then one of my family members called Castaway Critters, and my really nice volunteer picked me up and took me to my new "home." I have never lived with cats or dogs before, but I co-exist pretty well with other cats in my foster home, as long as they don't expect me to play with them. In my forever home, I will need someone who is very patient with me and able to properly introduce me to any potential new feline friend(s). I love to get head pats and sit with my foster mom while we watch TV. I don't like to be held, and I am declawed in the front. I am also on a weight management diet, so I am able to clean myself comfortably. I do have a minor skin condition that may at times require some medication, but nothing over the top crazy! When I lose weight, my skin will be much easier to clean myself; it's tough to reach certain spaces right now! I am FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, spayed and completely up to date on shots. If you think you're my furever home, please apply for me at www.castawaycritters.org/adopt.

Adopt Melody and Receive Melody's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Melody's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Melody's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Melody, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Melody's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Melody was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Melody’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Melody’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Melody’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
