About this Cat
Eddie (she's a female) had a home and then her owner surrendered her to the Trenton shelter. We think her third birthday is around May 2025. We're not sure what happened to this beautiful house panther but, we suspect she was mistreated in some way in her original home. She was very defensive and didn't like anyone when we got her months ago. When we get cats like this it breaks our hearts because we know humans caused the issue. Eddie got lucky, she got a fantastic foster mom who has an exceptional record working with cats like Eddie. After many months of working/living with her Eddie realized people are nice and no one is ever going to be mean to her again. It just took her some time to learn to trust humans again and forget about the bad place she lived in. She likes everyone she meets now. She loves getting petted, she just wants it to be on her terms (like most cats LOL). We think Eddie needs a calm home with adult people in it. Small kids would make her too nervous (we love them, but littles can be loud and are super high energy). This sweet girl is looking for a forever home and people who will love her the rest of her life. She deserves to have the good home she should have had from the beginning of her life. Could you be Eddie's person and give her the happy new beginning she deserves to have ? If you'd like to meet this cat or think this cat would be a good match for your family, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.trentoncats.org/adoption-questionnaire/ and let your references know someone will be contacting them soon. All our cats are neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed and flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped prior to adoption. Thanks for opting to adopt!

Adopt Edweena and Receive Edweena's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Edweena's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Edweena's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Edweena, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Edweena's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Edweena was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Edweena’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Edweena’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Edweena’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
