Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

We are a Dallas, TX-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds and building awareness for dogs in need of homes in Texas. The goal of Cane Rosso Rescue is to find homes for dogs that have been abandoned at shelters or whose owners can no longer care for them. We are looking for fosters, adopters, and volunteers to help transport dogs to their future homes. Donations are accepted via Paypal to [email protected] to assist with medical care and other expenses that come with saving these dogs.
With the aim of supporting local dog rescue groups, creating a network of foster homes, and ultimately finding homes for abandoned or homeless dogs, Cane Rosso Rescue is a volunteer-based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Dallas, Texas. Founded in March of 2014, when Jay Jerrier, owner of Dallas pizza restaurants, Cane Rosso and Zoli's NY Pizza Tavern, expanded his reach beyond the restaurant world, in order to help save the life of Walter, a Vizsla mix at a shelter in Arlington, TX. A longtime Vizsla and German Shorthaired Pointer owner, Jerrier and Cane Rosso Rescue have since helped find homes for over 300 dogs (and counting!).
Utilizing funds and a large following from Jerrier's restaurants, Cane Rosso Rescue focuses on providing transportation, foster care, veterinary treatment, and other essential needs for dogs in search of a new home. In addition to maintaining its own network of fosters and dogs, Cane Rosso Rescue seeks to support other DFW area dog rescue groups through its collaborative "Pups on the Patio" events, held in the spring and fall seasons at Cane Rosso locations, in which area rescue groups are given the opportunity to bring adoptable dogs to Cane Rosso's dog-friendly patios for an evening of fundraising, pet adoptions, and pizza. Donations are accepted from patrons, in exchange for discounts and deals on food and drinks, and all donations are matched by Cane Rosso. Local dog rescue groups are encouraged to inquire about future Pups on the Patio nights via email to [email protected]. For all dog and adoption-related inquiries, please email [email protected], and thanks for doing your part in saving a dog's life
