Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Like all Cats Protection Branches, our work is primarily to bring into our care stray, unwanted, injured, neglected and any cat that needs our help. This is carried out by our small but dedicated band of volunteers who foster the cats in their own homes. The main areas we cover are Farnham, Alton, Bordon and Aldershot and the surrounding areas.
It may be that the cats are only with us for a week or two but quite often, particularly if they are injured or ill, they stay with us for a long period of time until they are fit and well, have been microchipped and vaccinated and in the case of a cat over 4 to 6 months old, neutered. They then go on to our homing list for adoption to good homes. Whilst they are with us we need to provide food, litter and pay their vets fees, which run to thousand of pounds per month. Our other aim is to assist as many people as possible, on benefits and low incomes, to get their cats neutered in an attempt to reduce the number of unwanted kittens being born. All of this costs money, the majority of which we have to raise ourselves.
