I have several cats and the other black labs (my boys) got along with cats very well. Do you know if she is tolerant to cats. I also need to find some homes for some affectionate cats, the moms became pregnant before I could get them spayed. If you know anyone needing love starved and people friendly cats we might be able to help each other. About the lab I have had two and unfortunately their hips deteriorated and they died in my arms and it Ripped my heart out so you can be sure she will be loved. my name is bill and my# is 579-4909.

I have 4 kittens that need a home. 2 of them are black and 2 of them are grey like russian blue. They have been around for a few months and I have tried to care for them. My landlord is insisting they go away. When it started getting really hot they all ran into my apartment so they are litter box trained. 3 of them are from the same litter and the smallest grey one just showed up one day. They are maybe 3 -4 months old. They are tame for me but might need some love for whoever takes them.

Hi...I am disabled and just found a baby kitten too. It was stuck inside the engine of an old car. I live alone, in a wheelchair and am a loner so I just thought I would ask you if you were able to get a taker of the baby you found? I'm spoon feeding it non fat milk and have it wrapped in a blanket in the tub. . . I didn't know what else to do because of the crying. I am bipolar and am only able to keep this up overnight and I have no idea what to do. I was just thinking if you had a taker that may be interested in this tiny baby kitten also. I wish I had the ability to care for it but I don't. I have no idea if this goes directly to you or if I'm just typing this for nothing and will be seen sometime in the future. If you please...respond with any advice you can give me, I'd appreciate it very much! Peace lyle 559-593-8160

My husband and I are moving down to San Diego from Fresno Ca, and we are incredibly disappointed that we can not take our boy with us. His name is Frost and he is a beautiful all white and light tan husky. He is 10months old and current on all his vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, and recent flea treatment done. We are sad to give him up because we are moving and cant take him with us. He is trained to heel, sit, lay down, fetch, "no", crate trained, leash trained, potty trained, and to slowly walk behind you while going up and down stairs. He loves the AC!!! He is a very emotionally involved pup that adores kids and loves to run! We also taught him to not jump up on people(especially kids) and to not push kids over or play with his mouth, as that was important around our nieces and nephew. If you are interested and have room in your home for one more please text or call 55931O2O28

I have been feeding a German Shepard puppy that is very sweet. She is about 5 months old. My neighbors no longer feed her or even give her water. She is tethered to a pole all the time. These people have a past history of dumping whatever animals their daughter brings home. When they are puppies or kittens they are very cute but once the cuteness has worn off they get dumped. They have basically abandoned them leaving me to feed them. Why ? because I have a heart and try my best to care for them. I have tried making suggestions on how to re-home them. They go ignored. I don't want her to go to Animal Control because she will probably be put to sleep. Any suggestions are welcomed.

A few weeks ago a young pregnant black and white cat started hanging out on my patio. I knew she had to be starving so I put a bowl of water and food outside. Well, now my apartments think that she is my cat and have given me a 3 day notice to get rid of her because there is a no pet policy here. I have no idea what to do with this kitty. She is more than likely going to have her babies in the next week or so. Does anyone have any advice for me, please I'm desperate

A female cat had 6 kittens under my barn They are about 8 weeks old, they are running around in a fenced area behind my barn. Thier mother went dry about 2 weeks ago. I have been feeding them, they are the cutest things you ever saw.But my wife is allergic to cats. Every time I feed them I have to take a shower before I can get near my wife. 2 days ago she swelled up like a blimp and I rushed to the hospitol for an allergic shot. I really need to find someplace to take these kittens before my wife leaves me.

1. Feral Cat TNR Program

Many communities are embracing Trap, Neuter, Release programs (TNR) to improve animal welfare, reduce death rates, and meet obligations to public welfare.

2. High-Volume, Low-Cost Spay/Neuter

Low cost, high volume spay/neuter will quickly lead to fewer animals entering the shelter system, allowing more resources to be allocated toward saving lives.

3. Rescue Groups

An adoption or transfer to a rescue group frees up scarce cage and kennel space, reduces expenses for feeding, cleaning, killing, and improves a community's rate of lifesaving. In an environment of millions of dogs and cats killed in shelters annually, rare is the circumstance in which a rescue group should be denied an animal.

4. Foster Care

Volunteer foster care is crucial to No Kill. Without it, saving lives is compromised. It is a low cost, and often no cost, way of increasing a shelter's capacity, improving public relations, increasing a shelter's public image, rehabilitating sick and injured or behaviorally challenged animals, and saving lives.

5. Comprehensive Adoption Programs

Adoptions are vital to an agency's lifesaving mission. The quantity and quality of shelter adoptions is in shelter management's hands, making lifesaving a direct function of shelter policies and practice. In fact, studies show people get their animals from shelters only 20% of the time. If shelters better promoted their animals and had adoption programs responsive to the needs of the community, including public access hours for working people, offsite adoptions, adoption incentives, and effective marketing, they could increase the number of homes available and replace killing with adoptions. Contrary to conventional wisdom, shelters can adopt their way out of killing.

6. Pet Retention

While some of the reasons animals are surrendered to shelters are unavoidable, others can be prevented-but only if shelters are willing to work with people to help them solve their problems. Saving animals requires communities to develop innovative strategies for keeping people and their companion animals together. And the more a community sees its shelters as a place to turn for advice and assistance, the easier this job will be.

7. Medical and Behavior Programs

In order to meet its commitment to a lifesaving guarantee for all savable animals, shelters need to keep animals happy and healthy and keep animals moving through the system. To do this, shelters must put in place comprehensive vaccination, handling, cleaning, socialization, and care policies before animals get sick and rehabilitative efforts for those who come in sick, injured, unweaned, or traumatized.

8. Public Relations/Community Involvement

Increasing adoptions, maximizing donations, recruiting volunteers and partnering with community agencies comes down to one thing: increasing the shelter's exposure. And that means consistent marketing and public relations. Public relations and marketing are the foundation of all a shelter's activities and their success. To do all these things well, the shelter must be in the public eye.

9. Volunteers

Volunteers are a dedicated "army of compassion" and the backbone of a successful No Kill effort. There is never enough staff, never enough dollars to hire more staff, and always more needs than paid human resources. 10. Proactive Redemptions

One of the most overlooked areas for reducing killing in animal control shelters are lost animal reclaims. Sadly, besides having pet owners fill out a lost pet report, very little effort is made in this area of shelter operations.
