About this Cat
Beni is a very sweet, loving kitty. He is very much a "dog" in a cat's body. I adopted him with Jeni, his twin sister and littermate, from a shelter 2.5 years ago. Beni and Jeni are a bonded pair and it would be best to adopt them together. He is a well-socialized, chatty three year old American shorthair cat who adores humans above all with food being a close second. The only reason I am seeking to rehome him and his sister is that my schedule has changed a lot over the last year. I am no longer able to work from home, travel much more for work, and had a baby. Due to these changes, I can tell Beni is no longer as content as he used to be. He is constantly seeking attention, which I can't provide as much anymore, and meows at night because he wants to sleep in our room, which he cannot since we're co-rooming with an infant. Beni is truly a treasure. Since he loves food so much, he is very trainable. Tricks he already knows: Sit, stand, laydown, and come (and he actually comes 95% of the time, which is very rare for a cat!). He also "talks back" when you talk to him and is fairly vocal. He doesn't screech or yowl, but seems to enjoy meowing or chattering back when you look at him. Beni is very sociable with adults and older kids; he often will approach guests for treats and pets. He is also good with younger kids and babies. He will lay near them, though he will not allow them to touch him. He never bites or scratches, even by accident. He has very "soft" paws. While he doesn't love being held, he will tolerate it so long as you have a treat in your hand and will allow you to clip his toenails. He loves sleeping next to humans and being brushed. Beni and Jeni deserve a home where they get the love and attention they need. The perfect home for Beni would be one with adults/older kids/retirees who allow him to sleep with them at night, gives him treats for doing tricks (he is clicker and harness trained), and showers him with endless cuddles and pets. Since he is harness trained, he can be taken out on walks too. Ideally, he will be adopted with his twin, Jeni. He does not like other cats (besides his twin sister) and though he tolerates dogs, it would be best for him and his sister to be the only pets in the household.

After verifying the adoption, Beni's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Beni was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Beni’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
