About this Dog

I know this is a long post but this is very important information and make sure you have considered all of the things on here. Please NO small/young kids he is too unpredictable and hyper. No cats or small dogs. Needs a disciplined owner with experience working with stubborn strong dogs. 😊 We have had Jack since January due to him not working out for my dad and I didn’t want to take him back to the shelter, so we decided to bring him home with us and work on rehoming him like a foster. He’s a lab pit terrier mix and approximately 1yo. He is sweet and thinks he’s a lap dog 🤣🤣. He snores a little but it’s so cute. Pros are he walks good on a leash, house trained as long as he is let out when he needs to go, crate trained-eats and sleeps in his, except for the nights my oldest is here she lets him sleep with her in the bed. He is good with older kids (teens) and people, but is rambunctious so I’d keep him away from little ones that would be easily knocked over. He knows several commands that we have been working on, sit, down, easy, stay, wait... we are working on the jumping, he loves to play with his toys and really likes to run and play with other bigger dogs off leash. He enjoys the dog park and roughhousing with the other dogs there. He’s neutered, heart worm and parasite free, and up to date on all shots. He’s been seen at Amelia Grace Vet here in Clayton for a check up and an allergy issue which is better now. SO now the cons... he can be leash aggressive with other dogs, he is very hyper and needs constant guidance as most puppy’s do but he’s strong and impulsive so you need to be on alert when walking him. He will chase just about anything, birds, squirrels, cats, and small dogs. Unfortunately, when we first brought him home with us we had no clue what his background was since he was a stray hold at the shelter. After many attempts at “playing” with my little dogs they become aggressive towards him and in turn him towards them; life has become a living nightmare here. My cat has fought with him multiple times and now refuses to come inside even when he is put up. My two little ones (8&10#) are no match for Jack’s 50# and so we have to keep them separated. This makes potty breaks and feedings difficult, hence the crate feedings. He does spend quite a bit of time outside on a lead in our backyard due to this situation and since we don’t have a fenced area he really doesn’t get to run and play as much as we would like him to. I have been working with a trainer remotely and the progress is slow but working. If it were just him or him and another dog his size the he was able to play with and be himself with, I would definitely keep him. This is not easy for us as we have grown attached to him but we need to do what’s best for Jack and our littles and us. 🥺😢thank you

How will Jack receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Jack, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Jack's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jack was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jack’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Jack’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jack’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund.
