About this Dog
I am looking to find someone to adopt my baby from me after some noise complaints in my apartment complex. They haven't told me I need to remove her yet but I've realized the apartment life is not the life Tikka wants or needs. I adopted her when there was more than one person in my living arrangements and now that's it's just me, she isn't adjusting well to be alone most of the time. I've considered daycare but her discomfort around dogs makes it incredibly hard to find a place she'll be comfortable. This is Tikka. She's a 65 pound, 5.5 year old red nose American Pit Bull Terrier. The two struggles she faces are issues with separation anxiety and discomfort around dogs and cats. Easily resolved by being the only pet in the home, having a big yard to play in, and being adopted into a family with teenagers or a couple with opposite work schedules. This is really important for me in finding adopters for her as these are things that would greatly improved her quality of life. ❤️Facts about Tikka - up to date on all shots including canine flu - loves to cuddle and be close to you. One of the most loving dogs I have ever met. - perfectly house trained, she's had 1 accident in the apartment since August and it was a night that she was sick. - walks well on a leash - no bite history - incredibly playful - high energy - she struggles in cars if you're moving slow but an angel driving on the highway. - has had private obedience training and I've been working with her nonstop the last few months. Very good motivated and willing to learn. She knows sit, stay, down, leave it, come, shake. - she is nearly muzzle trained but could use some more time before actually wearing it for longer than a minute or two. (The second picture is a leash called a gentle leader - not the muzzle I'm training her on) - she struggles with separation anxiety. She is taking 40mg Prozac daily and has been since August. This helps with her daily anxieties. She also has a prescription for trazadone to take before high stress situations like going to the vet or groomer. 🖤Requirements for her new home - no dogs - no cats - would love to find someone with a decent yard/fenced in yard - preferably more than one person in the home to minimize times by herself. Would love to find a family with teenagers or older, young kids aren't the best idea because she's high energy most of the time and forgets her own strength when jumping and playing. 💲I will require a $100 adoption fee for anyone I don't know personally to deter the people out there adopting pitties and fighting them. She will come with all of her toys, crate, bedding, seatbelts, back seat hammock, food, treats, medication.

After verifying the adoption, Tikka's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tikka was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tikka’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
