About this Dog

Lucy is approximately 14-months old and quite the character. She is part Great Dane, part Lab (we think) and all "queen of the house." She loves people and her favorite rope toys and likes nothing more than running around in the yard like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh. From the age of 6-months, she has been living here with her mom and two dog brothers, but she and her older brother no longer get along. Mom realizes that no matter how much she would like it to be otherwise, everyone would be happier if Lucy found a loving home where she can be a crazy puppy without any other worries. Originally from South Carolina, Lucy came to us through a rescue in New Jersey in June 2019, who is not willing to help any further. She is spayed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on all of her shots, crate trained, and house-trained (save for a few accidents upon occasion). She would do best in a home with no small children, just because she's still a puppy and very bouncy. While she does play well with other dogs (though she can be very loud and demanding), she can sometimes be protective of her toys and her people, so we feel she would be best as the only dog in the home. She is very proud of her "sit" and she knows how to go to "bed." She is a very quick learner! We are looking for a loving home where Lucy can get the attention she deserves so she can be the best version of herself. She is loved here, but the pack dynamic is turning out to be very stressful for everyone and no one is happy. We will provide her crate, her favorite toys, and some of her current food, along with a full veterinary record. All you need to supply is the love.

Adopt Lucy and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lucy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Lucy receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Lucy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Lucy's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lucy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lucy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Lucy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lucy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
