About this Dog

Titus is a nine year old, brindle, in-tact male Boxer. He has been in our family since he was a puppy. Although he enjoys playing and dancing around, he is the more relaxed of our Boxers, and is content to rest his velvety muzzle on your lap, or lay at your feet. (But likes it even more if he can crawl up and spoon with you!) He enjoys just being near his family members in quiet contentment. Titus is a lover! Titus would do well with a family with older children or a couple or a single human with no children. He would do best to be kept with his life long partner, Cali (a spayed, fawn female Boxer). He gets along with other large dogs once introduced, but tends to get over focused on new small animals. Although he is in-tact, he has never attempted to mount a human or other dog (except for his mate when she was in heat) , does not mark indoors, and has not shown any aggression. Titus will protect his yard, but enjoys a guest in the home. He tends to be a little shy and wary of male strangers, especially if they are wearing a hat, but he warms up quickly as he begins to feel safe. Titus has been an extremely healthy dog, but contracted glaucoma, and lost his right eye in 2017. The vet warned that glaucoma may present in the other eye, so we apply drops daily and have seen no indication of damage. He should have the pressures in his eye checked yearly, or more, to be on the safe side. He has fully adapted to having the use of one eye, but at times can be startled if approached on the affected side, or hesitant or nervous in movement in situations where he has limited sight lines.

Adopt Titus and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Titus's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Titus receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Titus, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Titus's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Titus was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Titus’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Titus’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Titus’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
