About this Dog

Daisy is 8-years old. She weighs approx. 15 lbs. She is very laid back, gets along with other dogs, cats and kids. She is also crate-trained and prefers the crate when left alone and at night. She loves going outside (fenced yard only) and going for walks. She also loves riding in the car. She rarely barks but will when she spots a rabbit. Daisy was rescued from a horrible hoarding situation and was neglected when it comes to feeding and visits to the vet. Her teeth are in terrible condition but it doesn't stop her from eating her meal every day. She gets dry food mixed with canned but absolutely no table scraps. Daisy was my Mom's dog. Mom was placed on home hospice in September 2018. Her best friend asked if she could have Daisy (I was Mom's only caregiver) and Mom knew that having one less thing to worry about would be a good thing so she agreed. Two weeks ago, a man came to my house with Daisy. He was the brother of the woman who took Daisy. He had to place his sister in a nursing home and he is unable to keep Daisy so here I am. Mom passed away in June 2019 and I just signed a new lease agreement but I'm only allowed one pet, which is my dog that I've had for 11 years. I tried my best to get the landlord to change his mind but he won't. I have 30 days to find her a new home. Otherwise, I'm going to have to take her to a shelter, which I would rather not do. Daisy would be perfect for a senior couple or a single senior as she's not very active. She has a squeaky toy that she will chase if you throw it but that doesn't last long. She prefers being next to a human on a couch or chair.

Adopt Daisy and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Daisy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Daisy receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Daisy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Daisy's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Daisy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Daisy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Daisy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Daisy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
