About this Cat

I began feeding a stray cat in very late January/early February on those 27 degree nights we were having. She kept getting fatter and fatter.....I couldn't understand why, as my inside cat wasn't doing this. Outside kitty I was calling Baby Kitty due to the fact that she was about the same size as the kitty we adopted from AHS last July 29. Around the first of March, I decided she must be pregnant. I kept taking care of her while looking for a place to help her. No one would help -- not even the AHS where we adopted our Emmy from when she was left abandoned there last July! I made Baby Kitty as comfortable as I could while looking for a home. March 15, she gave birth to 4 kitties. At one month old, she would shake the kitties off her from feeding, so I tended to getting them weaned and onto kitten food. One didn't make it; 2 females I adopted out at about 7 weeks, and I still have the male, Blackie. Mama Kitty is now known as Mama Kitty - because she is [regnant and ready to deliver again any time. Mama Kitty is brutalizing her Blackie, and I have resorted to bringing him inside my home so she won't hurt him. I am in an impossible situation, as my hubby passed just after we adopted our Emmy last July; my home is now listed for sale; and I am in process of moving. Blackie is the sweetest, most loving kitten around! I simply can't do all I am doing now with 2 cats. I need to find Blackie a wonderful, loving home! Mama Kitty disappears daily, sometimes for 2 days, comes back to eat..and will allow me to pick her up. I have provided a bed for her once again to birth in, but she is in such a state, I don't know if she will come here to birth. If someone could take her in fast before she gives birth, it would be awesome.

Adopt Blackie and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Blackie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Blackie receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Blackie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Blackie's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Blackie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Blackie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Blackie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Blackie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
