About this Dog

Gus is a cool-looking dog. Most people stop me and ask if he is a miniature wolf. In person, you will notice he has one of the most adorable faces. Super kind eyes. He is a really sweet dog too. I adopted him as a companion fo another dog I own, but she doesn’t like him much. He loves all dogs and people, especially men. Gus loves affection, walks, car rides and running around a yard. He likes being indoors and outside. He is becoming housebroken with a belly band. Talk about smart! Wicked smart is more like it. He is hard of hearing. Loud noises and high-pitched noises are fine. He likes to pull on his leash, but chills after a bit. He gets so excited to go outside. That is the reason. Gus was apparently chained up outside most of his life and they didn’t treat him well, so he is submissive and not aggressive. He sheds in winter. Barks sometimes, mostly for a tiny bit after you first leave the house, or if you tie him up or put him behind a barrier or in a kennel. He doesn’t like that. Who can blame him; that is what happened most of his life. He is years old and has some old man bumps under his coat, but they told me the vet says he is fine. No cancer or anything. He is amazingly young acting. I would say three. You will fall in love with him, especially if you are fond of cattle dogs. He is neutered. I believe microchipped. Current on all bet stuff. Weighs 30-35 pounds.

Adopt Gus and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Gus's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Gus receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Gus, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Gus's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gus was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gus’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Gus’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gus’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
