About this Cat

I found a beautiful Kitty at Walmart. He was following people going into the store and mowing. He was so desperately looking for a home and loving family. I picked him up and took him home. He was exhausted from being on the street and very hungry. I fed him and gave him a cat bed. He was so grateful. He purred and rubbed my hand with his head. He is a lap kitty for sure. He fell asleep seemingly content. The next day I took him to the vet for a check up. He is healthy and about a year old. I got his shots and he was neutered. The check up revealed he was FIV positive. This is similar to HIV in humans. He won’t die from the disease itself but it weakens his immune system and he can die from colds or infections etc. His caregiver will have to watch him for infections etc and be quick to act to get him medical treatment. With this kind of care he will live a long and healthy life. FIV IS A FELINE DISEASE ONLY. IT IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THAT FIV CANNOT BE TRANSMITTED TO HUMANS OR OTHER ANIMAL SPECIES. I am looking for someone who has experience with cats and who can handle an FIV positive cat. Bucky needs to be separated from other cats for the rest of his life. He cannot live outside because he will infect other cats. He is about a year old. HE IS HEALTHY BUT He can transmit the disease though a bite to another cat. I have other cats and don’t have a humane way to separate him and still give him the attention he deserves. So it would take either someone who doesn't have another cat or has cats but has a section of their home that can be separated from them. It breaks my heart to adopt him out. He is so loving and loves to be petted. He is not one of those independent and stand-offish cats. I promise you will bond easily with him. BUT He needs the right kind of home. I am praying that I can find a suitable parent or parents for him. Blessings

Adopt Bucky and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Bucky's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Bucky receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Bucky, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Bucky's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bucky was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bucky’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Bucky’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bucky’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
