About this Dog

DESPERATE NEED TO REHOME ASAP!! OR WE WILL BE FORCE TO PUT HIM DOWN!! LANDLORD SAYS HE HAS TO GO Buddy showed up at our house 4 years ago and would never leave. He had wounds in his neck that looked as though a collar may have been too tight or possible rope burns. Not sure. But we cleaned them up put some Neosprene on the wounds. We tried for months to find him a home. We did not need another large dog. But I could not call MACC and take the chance he would be put down. So we put him in an acre lot adjacent to our house that is fenced in with a 8x10 shed as his dog house. He would run along the street front when cars would pass by, the neighbors loved on him and gave him treats as well. My daughter would bring her dogs over and they would run and play after they figured out who was the boss. We bought a large kennel and would bring him in on cold or hot days and nights. (But now he roams free in the house he will not go in the kennel) He is about 5-6 years old, Neutered and house trained. Black lab/golden retriever mix. In 2017 we had to complete a 10 day quarantine due to a Stanley Steamer worker tried to pet him over the fence and claimed he was bitten. (This after he was told do not bother the dog.) He has been inside ever since Within about 3 months of that incident, he broke he lead cable and a lady that was walking called MACC to report he snapped at her. MACC came to our house and gave us a warning, one more incident and they would have to put him down. He strong but also loving. He has some aggressiveness. We only allow a handful of people around him because we are afraid there could be another incident. We have a grandchild due in September and we worry about how he will be around a child. Since he has been with us he has not had any contact with children. He is beginning to be to much for my husband and I to handle. He is good with our smaller dog, cats are an absolute NO GO!

Adopt Buddy and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Buddy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Buddy receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Buddy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Buddy's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Buddy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Buddy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Buddy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Buddy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
