About this pet

Molly was originally adopted from a shelter by my son. I came into possession of her when she did not adapt well to his rental home. She is approximately 4 years old and weighs 40 pounds. She is spayed and micro-chipped. All shots and flea and tick treatments are up to date. She has a very gentle, loving temperament. She is not prone to barking or aggressive behaviors. She does not typically jump on people. She is well-known to neighbors and other dogs from our daily walks. She gets very excited when she sees me go for her leash and relishes the opportunity to visit her dog friends. Molly is very content to sit for quiet evenings with me nearby while she chews on a big bone. My biggest problem with Molly has been keeping her in my yard. She jumps my 4-5' fence. This was once an inconsistent issue, but it is now every time she goes out. She can be destructive to items in the home. I believe this is boredom that could be alleviated by opportunities for outside play. A new owner should have a tall, privacy fence with room for her to run around and explore. I really love Molly and wish that I could figure out a way to keep her that would be good for both of us, but I feel that not having an area where she can run around freely and safely is not good for her.
