About this Cat

Pogo is a very loving cat. I recently was hospitalized and had to move at the same time. I thought I had found him a loving home, however, they allowed him to escape and went a week before mentioning this to me. I went back to the area and posted fliers. The very next day he was found, but he ran into trouble while he was out in the wild. Something got him, but good and he had a huge abscess. He’s been to the vet ($300 later) and it’s all cleared up. He is up to date on his shots now as well. I can only have 2 pets where I’m at and while I can justify caring for him while he was sick, he is all better and I need to be in compliance with my rental company. I’m trying to get all his paperwork back from the person I originally gave him to - but idk if they are going to return the papers. He is neutered and appropriately 5 years old. He is good with other animals including large dogs. Clean in the house-no accidents unless he is sick or accidentally locked out of where the cat box is kept. He loves getting into things...boxes, bags, purses, baskets, you name it. I included a pic of a bag on a chair and because he is so black you can’t really see it, but he is in the purse. I’m sad to let him go but I can’t keep being worried I’m gonna get kicked out. He must be an inside cat as he is much too trusting and curious to be allowed outside. The last outside adventure he had almost cost him his life. He does sometimes try to get out so you must be vigilant with any outside access doors. He never has gone any further than across the street.

Adopt Pogo and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Pogo's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Pogo receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Pogo, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Pogo's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pogo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pogo’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Pogo’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pogo’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
