About this Cat

Sweetie became a part of my life in 2011 when she was a year old, adopted from a stray cat adoption program. Since then, my life has had a lot of transitions, ups, and downs, and then more of the same. She loves to snuggle but is slow to warm up. I am a single mom now with a 3-year-old, and Sweetie can't handle it. She gets jealous and has been soiling on the floor in my daughter's play room. No matter how many times or how deeply I clean it, if the door is left open by mistake, Sweetie finds her way into the room and either pees or poops on the floor. However, when my daughter is not home, Sweetie is in my lap or snuggled up next to me on the bed. She is a one-person kind of cat and would do wonderfully in a quiet, kid-free home where she can live out her life in one place (I have moved numerous times in the last several years) and in peace. She loves being outdoors in nice weather, so a home where she is safe to roam outside when she wants is ideal. She is a small cat and despite having been both an outdoor and an indoor cat, has never had fleas. Her left ear is a bit wonky from a surgery to remove a hematoma, as well as surgery from a wound, but is otherwise healthy. Her wonky ear actually looks kind of cute. I really hope I can find a home for her so that she can snuggle all she wants and in peace without worrying about being terrorized by little kids or a noisy house. I am willing to drive out of San Antonio to find her a new home. Thank you!

Adopt Sweetie and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sweetie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Sweetie receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Sweetie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Sweetie's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sweetie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sweetie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Sweetie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sweetie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
