About this Dog

Sadie is a sweet and energetic 3 yr old mix breed (likely boxer, pit bull, and shepherd). She LOVES cuddling, snacking on bread, and "talking" between naps and activities. She enjoys exercise, particularly solo ball play or short runs, as well as mental games in the house. She has been in her current home for 9 months after being adopted from the Martinez animal shelter. She has anxiety, which requires medication twice a day and a few techniques to help manage. She is spayed and up to date on all her vaccines. She weighs 50-55 lbs. She does well with kids in our house and visiting relatives (ages 5 - 15). She is friendly with our cat and they often curl up together. She has started re-directing on our other dog after 6+ months together and they now have to remain separate. Originally, this was only due to triggers (e.g. fence guarding with neighbor dogs); now it is every time she sees the other female dog in our house. We think she’ll do best in a single dog home to avoid a similar relationship from developing. Her behavior has improved dramatically with the dogs now separate, and the intent of the re-home is for her longer term happiness. She has worked with a personal trainer 1:1 for the last four months. The training focused on reactivity, triggers, anxiety management, commands to help her re-focus, as well as general commands and improving her ability to walk on leash. She has responded extremely well and takes on new commands quickly. She eats primarily dry food. She is house trained and can stay inside for at least ~2 hours at a time. We typically give her inside and outside access when we leave for longer amounts of time. She does get nervous for 15-20 minutes when we first leave the house or if she is kept in another room while we’re home. She is fine on her own for majority of day after that (10 hours on week days). She is not crate trained. This sweet girl is amazing and a perfect companion for any home looking for a single dog. Please don't hesitate to reach out for any additional information!

Adopt Sadie and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sadie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Sadie receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Sadie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Sadie's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sadie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sadie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Sadie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sadie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
