About this Dog
Jet is one in a million - truly a phenomenal, once in a lifetime companion. About a year ago, she sustained a spinal cord injury that caused partial impairment/paralysis to her hind legs (front legs were not affected). Three surgeries later and a lot of rehab, and she has made some progress. She is able to use her hind legs to walk when we have her in a sling (positioned under her abdomen/pelvic region), and she can stand up and take a step or two on her own (though she “knuckles” as she steps). Her tail has also started wagging again a little bit. This is written with a very heavy heart. There’s so much to say, but essentially, we are not able to give her the care she needs...she has so much life and such an incredibly bright personality and demeanor, we know she can be a perfect fit for a family who can attend to her more frequently than our work obligations allow right now... We had hoped that I would be able to figure out a way to balance Jet and work, but it’s looking like it can’t happen for the foreseeable future. We have put this off for as long as possible, but it has become apparent that she would be happier with a family who can spend more time with her and attend to her consistently throughout the day - specifically as it relates to potty breaks becoming a more frequent necessity...every 3-4 hours is ideal, but she has to wait at least 8 hours to go out during the week, as she painfully and uncomfortably waits for me or my wife to come home... Jet has never met a stranger, has never shown aggression towards any other animals either, and is one of the most intelligent, sweet and affectionate dogs that I’ve ever met. We would appreciate any leads or resources you would be able to provide in the event you are not able to help at this time. Jet’s Basic Info: -Breed: Labrador retriever -Sex: Female -Weight: 48lbs -Age:8 years old -not spayed -extremely intelligent, friendly, happy and loving temperament (loves other animals, people, children, etc)

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Jet's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jet was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jet’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
