About this Dog

This is Toa. I was told he was a mastiff/lab mix when I adopted him as a puppy. He’s 3 yrs old, microchipped, about 75lbs, neutered male. He’s always been sweet with humans and fine with other pets in the house (we have 2 other big dogs and 4 cats. He’s been food aggressive with the other dogs for a while but we usually try and keep him separate. He does have a bad habit of tearing up the trash. Hes very hyper. We’ve had him professionally trained before and he seemed good at first but we didn’t really keep up with his training and he went straight back to destroying trash, picking on the other pets etc. He recently became aggressive towards my toddler about 2 weeks ago for no reason. I love my dog, but I can’t risk him causing serious harm to my little one. I really don’t want to see him in a shelter. I’d rather see him go to a person or a couple who has time to maybe dedicate to working with him. I think with a lot of work, he’d be a great dog. I have 2 kids and a 3rd on the way and I just don’t have that kind of time to help him. He’s behind on some shots. I hate that I even have to rehome him but it’s for the best. He loves to run and play. He loves peanut butter and antler chews. A fenced backyard would be ideal or maybe someone who likes to go out running or for walks. Also his name, Toa, is Maori for “warrior”.

Adopt Toa and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Toa's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Toa receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Toa, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Toa's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Toa was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Toa’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Toa’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Toa’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
