About this Cat
Sydney is a 15 year old, 8 lb well loved little scrapper. She's an independent indoor cat who is affectionate 1-on-1 as long as you respect her space and it's on her terms. Once she gets to know you she will not let you go to sleep without getting her fill of belly rubs. Despite pampering, her punk rock beginnings in NYC have stuck with her and Syd's idea of heaven is an empty Amazon box, with a catnip mouse in a sunny spot. Boisterous people and large crowds stress Sydney out. Her ideal home would be with adult non-animal roommates as she does like to be "top dog". We adopted Syd from a rescue in NJ when she was about a year old, she spent 14 wonderful years with us. We are moving to Australia which has a rigorous quarantine process and while she is in good health, she hates even the shortest car ride and we feel putting her through this move will be too traumatic for her in her advanced years. We are desperate to find her a happy home and prefer to have her adopted from our home and not go through the additional trauma of multiple shelters/ foster care situations. Sydney is healthy, has all of her shots and is micro-chipped.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sydney's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sydney was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sydney’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
