About this Dog

She is 10.5 years old, marginally underweight (slim) at about 42+ pounds and is an anxious girl (she has meds when necessary). She would need to be an only pet in a home with no young kids. We've been taking care of her, getting her weight back up and getting treatment for some minor ailments (ear infection) as well as bloodwork (came back healthy). She just wants to have a place where she can be the dog of the house, with a soft bed or carpet to lay on where someone will happily give her all the butt skritches and loves that she needs. She really is a sweet girl under the right circumstances, but we can't keep her as we have a very active baby in the house. ================================================================= ================================================================= More info from her mama: This is beautiful ol' girl is Tali. Tali is a 10-11 year old springer spaniel mix that is spayed, chipped, up to date on all of her vaccines and desperately in need of a quiet, loving home to live out the last of her years. A bit of her back story: I adopted Tali from the Spokane Humane Society when she was 4 months old. She was with me until shortly after the birth of my first child, about 5 years ago. Tali has always been anxious around strangers and aggressive towards other dogs. Though she has never showed aggression towards children, my partner was understandably extremely worried about having her around our newborn and the extremely difficult decision to rehome her was made. Tali went to live with one of my very best friends and her husband, where she absolutely thrived. Unfortunately, that friend and her husband got a divorce 3 months ago and Tali was left with the ex-husband. Her condition and temperament quickly declined in those 3 short months. We received a call about 2 weeks ago telling us that Tali was no longer welcome there, as she had violently attacked a cat. I was extremely confused, as Tali had never shown aggression towards cats and this seemingly came out of nowhere. I picked Tali up from this person's home with the mindset of having to put her down, as she had become too unpredictable in her old age. I quickly realized once she was in my care that she was not in good shape. She had severe infection in both of her ears, walking with a head tilt and very much underweight. She was also overdue for all of her vaccines. In the time that we have had this sweet girl, we have taken her to the vet (about $1,000 bill...ouch) and focused on trying to get her to eat. All blood work was normal and her ears were treated, so she has perked up quite a bit. Now we are shifting the focus to finding her a new home. What Tali needs: As I mentioned above, Tali needs a quiet, loving home to live out the rest of her years. No dogs, cats or children. Though the vet and I believe the random attack on the cat was because of her double ear infection, I do not feel comfortable placing her in a home where this could happen to another animal or (god forbid) a kiddo. Tali needs patient parents that are familiar with highly anxious pups. All she wants is to lay on the couch with her people and get all of the butt scratches, treats and occasionally someone to throw a ball for her. She still has some spring in her and shifts into "puppy gear" every so often.

Adopt Tali and Receive Dogecoin

How will Tali receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Tali, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Tali's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tali was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tali’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Tali’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tali’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund.
