About this Dog
Mishu is a beautiful 1yr, 2month old. He is approx 95lbs, neutered , is up to date on his shots and is microchipped. His ideal home is with someone who has had an Akita before or at the very least ... former big dog experience. He is a very happy, healthy kid. I rescued him from a shelter on 11/30/21 . His original owner had died. He is fully house trained but still needs obedience/manners training. I had been doing professional training sessions with him every week for the first month or so . After that, my elderly mother in another state had a stroke and I had to go to her 3x/week at that point. So Mishu's training had to end as a result. He is VERY smart and a quick learner and quite food motivated (training wise)...... but still needs more obedience training because I haven't been home enough. With deep heartbreak I'm now being forced to give him up. This is soley as a result of my mother's worsening medical conditions. I've had to quit my job and will have to go be her primary caregiver for an indefinite timeframe. Could be 6months or a year . I have no family or friends that can care for him nor adopt him. Today is 4/4/22 and I have to give him up by 4/19/22 or be forced to bring him to a shelter. Again, this because I have to leave the state and become my mother's primary caregiver. This is heart shattering to me as Mishu is a very special, very happy young boy. Couldn't ask for a better temperment from such a large breed dog. I had plans and dreams of enjoying him for his entire life. Even had plans on furthering his training to teach him to be a hunting dog as he seems to be a VERY keen tracker . More so than any other Akita I've had in my life. If no one adopts him he will have to go back into a shelter somewhere in the vicinity of my home(Southern Berkshires, MA) . And that would shatter me. It's already shattering me that I have to give him up. My heart is completely broken over this.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mishu's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mishu was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mishu’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
