About this Cat

My husband and I are relocating abroad soon and can't take little Diana, almost 12, with us. We inherited her with my dad's passing in 2018. We are Diana's 5 household; she had been a rescue when Dad got her. We having been trying to get her to the vet for some years now, but only get deeply scratched-up by this jet-like kitty. She needs medical care: one eye is darkening; she eats way too fast and is too thin, although I feed her 3-4 times daily. She doesn't throw up on Smalls.com human grade cat food but is not gaining weight; lactose intolerant; very vocal; shouldn't be in a household with any other animals--a just a human. She loves me, bunts my head all the time, lies over my keyboard, cuddles up on me a lot. She hates our cat Wild Thing (and it's Wild Thing's house!); there's lots of cat yelling, running, and hissing. Her vocalizations are very irritating to my husband and Wild Thing is taking on her bad habits. Their personalities show the stresses of having a parade of strangers-repairmen working on our old house. We're happy to get her to a vet for care but have had to cancel at the last minute countless times. A friend finally suggested we wrap her totally in a blanket, so she can't see or scratch us, and put her in carrier still blanketed. I'll make another vet appointment this week and try to get her into the carrier. She can't help her irritating voice (Wild Thing "peeps" and had been quiet pre-Diana) and, I believe, will make the right person a nice companion.

Adopt Diana and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Diana's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Diana receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Diana, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Diana's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Diana was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Diana’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Diana’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Diana’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
