About this Dog
IN VERMONT Meet Caramal (of Caramel, Lexy, Ginger, and Chocolate Fudge)! More pictures and video to come! Caramel is 3 years old (approx. DOB 1-31-18), female, 14 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. Caramel was rescued with her family from a hoarding situation. Currently as a new rescue she is very fearful in new situations and around new people. Per her current caretaker: Caramel is far enough advanced that she could be adopted now to the right kind of person. Someone who is home a lot and is experienced with under-socialized dogs. Someone who is patient and empathetic to help her continue to get over her fears (being leash walked, being picked up or held). She has a very strong startle response but she is so much fun when she is relaxed; she has a lot of character. She loves being petted when she is standing or when she has her paws up on you, and she even likes a belly rub. She has been friendly with visitors and she gets along with other dogs but not cats please (she likes to chase and bark at them)! She needs an experienced home that knows how to help her gain trust and decompress. Her best home would be calm not busy; no young children., she is not high energy; not a hiker but she does like to play a little, with her person or with another dog.............just a little rough and tumble, or tug of war. She adores carrying the very small stuffies around but doesn't fetch. In the dog yard, she explores but doesn't run (she'll run for cats, or away from a leash!). She would be okay without another dog but would be happier with one! She does crawl into a bed with another Chi. She also learns from other dogs, sees how they behave with humans. If you are interested in adopting Caramel please fill out an Application at www.Passion-4-Paws.org (please make sure you have the Vermont site not CT) - thanks! Please note Fosters have 1st option of Adoption. Check out her Facebook page (please "Like" us while you are there)!

Adopt Caramel and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Caramel's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Caramel's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Caramel, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Caramel's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Caramel was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Caramel’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Caramel’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Caramel’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
