About this Cat

Tuna is a really pretty Siamese with soft, slightly longer hair, about 17 years old. I started taking care of my landlords cat Tuna since 2 years after he had inherited her from his granddaughter who got her from an adoption agency. He was not feeding her well or giving her affection. She is not a lap cat and is particular about touch, so it took me a while to be able to really pet her in a way that she trusted. So I assumed she was abused in some way. She has had several owners and she has no front claws. The landlord wanted to put her down due to her vomiting and peeing or pooping outside the box. But I believe that was because it was not clean and he was feeding her crappy food. That was two years ago. She is no longer so bony and is more content. She rarely vomits. and generally uses her box. I feed her high quality food and give her flea medicine monthly. I believe she may be growing senile due to the fact that she will ask for water from the tub whenever I walk into the bathroom for any reason. I think she has arthritis with one paw slightly deformed. She walks up and down the stairs several times per day. Occasionally pees outside her box in the basement which stays pretty clean, sometimes upstairs or around the basement. The smell comes up to the kitchen through the stairwell and is hard to get rid of and it's time consuming.I cant afford to spend a lot of money on tests and medication. My landlord still wants to put her down, but I would like to find her another option. She needs a quiet home with a place of her own to sleep that soft but firm due to arthritis. Maybe no stairs would be ideal. She likes affection on top of her head, under her chin, on her chest, back of her neck and massaging her lower back gently. She'll rub against your legs as you prepare her food. I feed her Wellness Senior wet food. She likes chicken, fish generally and loves sardines and bits of salmon. She loves being brushed and soft voiced wooing.

Adopt Tuna and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Tuna's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Tuna receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Tuna, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Tuna's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tuna was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tuna’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Tuna’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tuna’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
