About this Dog
Ysbrid (her name means “Spirit”), or Ysy for short, is a sweet, fun-loving, little girl. She loves to cuddle, play with other dogs of all ages, cats, and to run like the wind! She loves toys, running laps in the yard, and exploring. Ysy is still all puppy! She is potty trained and crate trained. She sleeps on the bed with her foster mom and the other dogs (and cat) and has the run of the house. She prefers to hang out with the other dogs and can play all day. Ysy is very inquisitive and it is a delight to watch her explore! Sometimes, her desire to explore has got her into trouble. She has shown she can easily jump and climb a regular chain link fence so she will need a 6 foot fence to confine her explorations to a suitable area. She loves figuring out food-dispensing toys and gentle tug toys, and Ysy adores “Hide and Seek” plush toys – with squeakers in them. She is also fond of soft rubber chew toys and balls. Ysbrid is very shy with new people and needs to have time to get to know them before her true personality comes through. It took months for her to let foster mom touch her. However, she now lets foster mom pet her and she sleeps cuddled up next to her foster mom as well. She now lets foster mom pick her up as well. She does love treats and that is a great way to help her warm up. She also dos not like loud people or when people move fast. When she is scared, she poops as she runs away inside or outdoors. Her fear default is to cower in her crate or the far corner of the yard; she has never offered to bite. Due to the above information, Ysbrid needs a home with no tiny children or a lot of people going in and out. She can slip in and out of a door or gate very quickly and silently. She needs a home with lots of patience. Ysbrid's adoption fee is $275, all of which goes back into offseting our high-cost vetting expenses and rescuing more dogs. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, fecal, deworming, flea/tick and heartworm preventative, heartworm tested if old enough (treated if positive), and microchipped.
